Lakshmi has over 23 years of experience advising on a wide range of development projects that affect the townscape and historic environment, ranging from listed building alterations to large regeneration schemes and tall buildings.
Lakshmi joined Savills in July 2025, as a Director in the Heritage and Townscape team. Her particular expertise lies in design-led townscape advice for challenging townscape and heritage-sensitive projects. Her training as an architect and urban designer enables her to interpret architectural drawings and diagrams, collaborate creatively with design teams, provide strategic advice and peer assessments of developing design, and help develop strong arguments for a particular design approach.
Her experience includes advising clients at site acquisition stage on relevant heritage and townscape considerations, scheme advocacy to LPAs, statutory consultees and Design Review Panels, preparation of evidence for high-profile planning inquiries, and extensive experience in the preparation of Townscape, Heritage and Visual Impact Assessments (THVIA) for Environmental Statements.
She is a former member of the South East Regional Design Panel, the precursor to Design South East.
